Identifying Your Setting

This Culture Change Training requires that you apply your skills within a setting. Therefore, your first assignment is to identify a setting. The following questions will help you pick such a setting.

  • Pick a setting that you care about. This will bring out your best creative energy. You may find that the ideas generated in the class will be of great benefit to the setting.
  • Pick a group that you will have ready access to. You will either need to be very familiar with the setting or be able to ask questions of people who are.
  • In theory, your group could be any size. However, your coursework will be easier to complete with a group that shares the same geographic location and members recognize that they are a part of a single organization.

For your first assignment, please answer the following questions about your plans.

Assignment: Please answer the following questions.
  1. What are the general characteristics of the setting?

  2. What is your role in this settings?
